Location and access to Marcy’s Woods Nature Reserve

Located between Port Colborne and Fort Erie on the north shore of Lake Erie, Marcy’s Woods is a protected private nature reserve that is comprised of 285 acres of intact Carolinian forest. Marcy’s Woods is located in the northwest quadrant of Point Albino (UTM 543467, map 30L/14), and was named of Natural and Scientific Interest (A.N.S.I.) by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources due to its ecological significance.

Public Access to Marcy’s Woods

Although Marcy’s Woods is a private nature reserve, the DiCienzo family would like to make the public partners in its conservation, and is open to the public with permission. Marcy’s Woods encourages school groups, nature groups/clubs, conservation organizations, photography clubs and others that are interested in the preservation of the beauty and uniqueness of Marcy’s Woods to contact for available dates. Guided tours by Earl Plato are available upon request.
